See exactly how the New Labour Code changes your Basic Salary, PF deduction, take-home pay and gratuity — before your employer restructures your CTC.
India's four Labour Codes — Code on Wages (2019), Industrial Relations Code, Social Security Code, and Occupational Safety Code (all 2020) — consolidate 29 older labour laws. The single biggest change for salaried employees is the Code on Wages rule that Basic Salary must be at least 50% of total gross wages (CTC). Most IT and private-sector employees today have Basic set at 30-40% of gross to keep take-home pay higher — this will change once states notify implementation.
